Jeon Won-ju clarifies "one drink for three people" controversy

Actress Jeon Won-ju has caused controversy after a YouTube video showed her ordering only one drink at a cafe and sharing it, prompting an apology from the production team.

In a video posted on Jeon Won-ju's YouTube channel, she visited a cafe with her daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law remarked, "Even if there are three of us, Mom only orders one drink." Jeon Won-ju then ordered a single cup of coffee, poured it into a paper cup from her bag, and shared it.

Netizens criticized the action, with comments such as "Frugality and being a nuisance are different."

The production team for 'Jeon Won-ju's Protagonist' apologized through the channel's community page, stating, "We sincerely apologize for causing discomfort with the content." They explained, "The content was filmed in advance in cooperation with the coffee shop, and we filmed carefully on the day of the shoot to avoid causing any harm to the establishment."

The production team further clarified, "Orders were placed for everyone who entered. However, since the actress cannot drink large amounts of coffee, she and her daughter-in-law shared it." They also stated they would produce content with greater care in the future.
