Kim Jaewon's 'Yumi's Cells 3' Reindeer Craze

Actor Kim Jaewon is gaining popularity playing the role of Shin Soonrok in the TVING drama 'Yumi's Cells 3'. Shin Soonrok was a publishing PD who valued reason and principles, but after meeting his assigned writer, Kim Yumi (played by Kim Goeun), he undergoes a transformation, breaking his company's no-dating rule and pursuing Yumi directly as a younger man.

'Yumi's Cells', based on a webtoon of the same name, received critical acclaim for its solid script, excellent acting, and delicate direction after its first season aired. In particular, the pioneering attempt to combine live-action with 3D animation was praised for opening a new chapter in the Korean drama market, leading to the production of seasons 2 and 3.

Despite concerns about the production of season 3, Kim Jaewon successfully portrayed the role of Soonrok, a character described as "like a unicorn." Due to the webtoon's immense popularity and the success of previous seasons, there was high interest in the casting for Soonrok, and fan casting discussions were a hot topic in online communities.
