I.O.I 10th Anniversary Reunion: K-Pop Fans Rejoice

In May, groups that originated from audition programs are energizing the K-pop scene with successive comebacks. Each team carries special significance, whether it's a reunion, team reorganization, re-debut, or their first comeback since debut, heightening fan anticipation.

The first group to make a comeback is ZEROBASEONE. They will release their sixth mini-album, 'ASEND', on May 18th. This album will feature a total of seven tracks, including the title song 'CRUSH'. ZEROBASEONE recently reorganized their team into a five-member unit consisting of Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Kim Tae-rae, Seok Matthew, and Park Gun-wook. Attention is focused on what new charms they will showcase after this team reorganization, following their record of six consecutive million-selling albums since their debut.

Following that, on May 19th, IOI will reunite as a full group to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary. They will release their third mini-album, 'IOI: LOOP', with Jeon Somi participating in the title track. Additionally, the B-side track 'Smiling Goodbye' features production by Jinyoung, formerly of B1A4, who has collaborated with IOI multiple times, adding further meaning.

IOI decided to reunite to commemorate their 10th anniversary. Excluding Kang Mi-na and Zhou Jieqiong, who cannot participate due to scheduled commitments, the group will release a new album as a nine-member unit for the first time in approximately nine years. Expectations are high for the synergy that will be showcased as the members, who have pursued their individual paths since the group's activities ended, come together again.

On May 26th, Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, and Han Yu-jin from ZEROBASEONE, along with Yoo Seung-eon from EVNNE, will officially debut as the new group 'ANDWAVE'. These members have already proven their skills and built a solid fandom through audition programs and their previous team activities, garnering significant attention even before their debut.
