Cheongju's Haru Youngest on Morning Yard

Singer Haru, who took second place in the MBN survival program 'Nameless Legend – Trot Men's Ranking War', is receiving a lot of public attention. Although Seongri won the final, Haru also left a strong impression on viewers with his brilliant growth narrative shown throughout the competition.

Haru had an uncertain start in the first round of the finals, ranking 5th (777 points). However, in the second round, the 'Life's Masterpiece' mission, he captivated the judges and audience with his delicate sensibility and unwavering vocals. He demonstrated his potential by rising to the runner-up position with his vocal ability, effortlessly transitioning between low and high notes.

Hailing from Cheongju, Chungbuk Province, Haru earned the nickname 'Trot Little Prince' from the early stages of the broadcast. His handsome appearance, deep emotions beyond his years, and stable live performance skills were the center of attention in every competition. In the semifinals, he surprised everyone by defeating Seongri, a strong contender for the championship, by an overwhelming score of 941 to 559.

Behind his strong stage presence lay a heartbreaking story. Haru, who achieved the youngest five consecutive wins on KBS1's 'Morning Plaza – Challenge! Dream Stage' last December and recorded the highest number of votes in the King of Kings match, lost his mother at a young age and pursued his dreams alone. Early in the competition, he revealed that he participated to keep a promise to his deceased mother, expressing his longing for her.

Haru recalled the time, two weeks before his mother passed away, when he first sang for her. He shared that his mother apologized for not being able to fully support his dream and told him to sing diligently. He also conveyed his heartfelt wish to sing for his mother, who had told him to be happy above all else, stating that he feels happiest when he sings, bringing viewers to tears.
