Ryoo Seung Ryong & Yoo Hae Jin's Baeksang Drama Touches Hearts
The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony was held on May 8th at COEX in Seoul. The Grand Prize for Film went to Yoo Hae-jin for "The King and the Clown," and the Grand Prize for Television was awarded to Ryu Seung-ryong for "The Tale of Manager Kim Working at a Large Corporation in Seoul."

Yoo Hae-jin, who won the Grand Prize for Film for "The King and the Clown," expressed his gratitude for the film surpassing 16.8 million viewers and thanked his co-star Park Ji-hoon. Ryu Seung-ryong, recipient of the Grand Prize for Television, shared that he had special feelings recalling his past with Yoo Hae-jin. He thanked the production team for bravely opening up a new path for the drama "Manager Kim," which had many elements that could have been overlooked, and conveyed a message that people can be gifts to each other through empathy, forgiveness, and courage.
The Best Drama Award for Television was given to the Netflix series "Eunjoong and Sangyeon," which also won the Best Screenplay Award, making it a two-time winner. Director Jo Young-min thanked the cast, including actress Kim Go-eun, and the staff. The Best Actor Award for Television went to Hyun Bin for "Made in Korea" and Park Bo-young for "Unknown Seoul," while the Best Supporting Actor Award was presented to Yoo Seung-mok for "The Tale of Manager Kim Working at a Large Corporation in Seoul" and Lim Soo-jung for "Fine: Country Bumpkins."

The Best Director Award for Film was presented to Yoon Ga-eun for directing "Master of the World." Director Yoon thanked everyone who helped during the film's production and also expressed gratitude to victims of sexual violence. The Best Film Award went to Park Chan-wook's "Can't Be Helped," and the Best New Director Award was given to Park Jun-ho for "3670."

The Best Variety Performer Award for Television was won by Kian84 and Lee Su-ji. Lee Su-ji achieved the honor for the second consecutive year, following her win last year. The Best Variety Program Award was received by "Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung." The Best Actor Award for Theater went to Kim Shin-rok for "Prima Facie," and the first acting award since the establishment of the Musical category was given to Kim Junsu. Kim Junsu expressed his hope that acting awards would be divided between male and female categories at the next ceremony.
