Yoo Yeon-seok, Shin Min-a Drama Ratings Drop

In the 10th episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Doctor Lawyer', Shin Sung-woo (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) and Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som)'s first collaboration ended with possession, and a hidden twist in the past of the deceased Kang Dong-sik (played by Lee Deok-hwa) and his wife Gil Hye-yeon (played by Chae Jung-hee) was revealed.

The 10th episode, aired on the 11th, featured a courtroom battle surrounding the execution of the will of Kang Dong-sik, the founder of 'Lee Sang Shoes', but ended with Shin Sung-woo being possessed along with a shocking truth.

The viewership ratings for the episode recorded 6.7% in the Seoul metropolitan area and a peak of 8.7% per minute, with the 2049 viewership rating reaching a high of 2.6%. However, due to the premiere of MBC's drama 'The Grand Prince' in the same time slot, the ratings dropped compared to the previous 8th episode (9.5%).

A situation arose where Gil Hye-yeon (played by Chae Jung-hee), who visited the law office, encountered her husband Kang Dong-sik (played by Lee Deok-hwa), who she thought had died of dementia, appearing as a ghost. Chae Jung-yeon requested legal representation to uphold her husband's will. Kang Dong-sik had left a will stating that one-third of his assets should go to Cha Eun-seong (played by Ra Kyung-min), the son of his deceased co-founder Ryeo Seon-hwa (played by Bae Yeo-ul). However, his son Kang Ji-hoon (played by Byun Jun-ho) filed a lawsuit, unable to accept this.

The incident dates back to 1979, when designer Chae Jung-hee, shoemaker Kang Dong-sik, and leather dyeing technician Ryeo Seon-hwa worked together to build 'Lee Sang Shoes'. Their relationship ended tragically when Ryeo Seon-hwa, a defector from North Korea, died in prison on charges of espionage. The guilt of Chae Jung-hee and Kang Dong-sik, who were forced to ignore Ryeo Seon-hwa's innocence at the time to protect the company and its employees, became the starting point of the current inheritance lawsuit.
