Project group 'Wanna One' reunited with their fandom 'Wannable' after 7 years. On the morning of the 6th, an opening ceremony event was held at the DMC Culture Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of Mnet Plus's new entertainment show 'Wanna One Go: Back to Base'. This marks approximately 7 years since their final farewell in January 2019.

Nine members attended the event, excluding Kang Daniel and Lai Kuanlin. Kang Daniel is currently serving in the military, and Lai Kuanlin appeared as a life-sized cutout as he is staying overseas. The members greeted fans wearing school uniforms reminiscent of their time on 'Produce 101 Season 2'.

Hwang Minhyun said, "I'll call out to you after a long time, Wannable. We've gathered after 9 years. I hope we'll have more time together starting today." Park Woojin shared, "It feels like only a blink of an eye has passed since our last concert, but several years have already gone by. Even this rain seems to have become a memory." Kim Jaehwan expressed his sincere feelings, "I hope today is not an end but a beginning. I want to walk together, looking towards eternity, not an end, for even happier times." Ong Seongwu raised expectations for future concerts by saying, "I feel very sorry for those who worked hard all night in this weather. If we have another chance to meet, I definitely want to meet indoors in a more comfortable environment."

Wanna One was an 11-member boy group formed through Mnet's 'Produce 101 Season 2' in 2017 and officially concluded their activities in January 2019. They created a 'Wanna One syndrome' by performing at the Gocheok Sky Dome upon debut, achieving a million-seller for their debut album, and sweeping rookie awards and grand prizes at major award ceremonies. They enjoyed immense popularity, being referred to as 'ExBangWon' alongside 'EXO' and 'BTS'.

After their project group activities ended, the members have been active in their respective fields as solo singers, actors, and producers. CJ ENM anticipates that 'Wanna One Go: Back to Base', where the members reunite under the name Wanna One, will bring novelty and emotion to fans who have waited for a long time.
