Lee Joomyeong's 'Gang Ppaenggeul' Becomes Iconic Role

Actress Lee Joo-myung is receiving love from viewers for her role as Kang Bang-geul in JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama '​Rookie Chairman Kang', where she is showcasing her irreplaceable charm.

'Rookie Chairman Kang' is a reminder-life story drama about Kang Yong-ho (Son Hyun-joo), the chairman of the conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who lives a second life after an accident. Lee Joo-myung plays the role of Kang Bang-geul, Kang Yong-ho's youngest daughter.

Kang Bang-geul is different from typical chaebol heirs, having lived in the shadow of her half-siblings. After her father Kang Yong-ho falls into a coma, even her mother suffers from running errands for the Choi Sung family, and she lives a life like an outsider despite being of the Choi Sung bloodline.

However, Kang Bang-geul harbors extraordinary ambition. After studying abroad in the U.S. as a child, she enters Choi Sung Trading as an intern secretly from her family, with the dream of becoming the best, surpassing her siblings. Lee Joo-myung portrays Kang Bang-geul, who shows passion at the highest level of social life, with energetic acting, demonstrating adept social skills to the point of being called by various nicknames such as coffee, copier, and somaek. In particular, scenes where she makes a bomb shot add to the humor with her natural acting.

From episodes 3 and 4 of the drama, the chemistry with her colleague Hwang Joon-hyun (Lee Jun-young), who has Kang Yong-ho's soul, is being fully depicted, adding to the drama's enjoyment.
