Tang Wei & Kim Tae Yong Expecting Second Child After 10 Years

Chinese actress Tang Wei has revealed her second pregnancy on social media. Tang Wei shared, "We will have another little horse in our family. It's a truly big surprise. I am very happy," along with a photo of herself holding a horse figurine with her husband, director Kim Tae-yong, and their first child. This year is the Year of the Horse.

Tang Wei married director Kim Tae-yong, whom she met through the film 'Late Autumn,' in 2014 and gave birth to their first daughter in 2016. Rumors of Tang Wei's pregnancy have surfaced multiple times this year. Recently, at a fashion event in Shanghai, China, she was seen with weight gain and a noticeable baby bump. Last month, when she was spotted with director Kim in Beijing, her choice of clothing, which seemed to conceal her abdomen, further fueled pregnancy rumors.

Tang Wei has confirmed her appearance in director Park Chan-wook's new Western film, 'The Brigands of Rattle Creek.'

Upon hearing the news of Tang Wei's pregnancy, netizens sent congratulatory messages, saying, "It's amazing to be pregnant at 48, born in 1979," and "This is surprising and wonderful news." Tang Wei had previously dismissed rumors of marital discord in a YouTube interview in 2024, emphasizing that director Kim Tae-yong was "the most precious person after my parents." She also expressed her affection by sharing a photo of them together on their 10th wedding anniversary.
