'31st Season's Youngchul's Soy Sauce Egg Rice Remark Sparks Debate

On ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am Solo' Season 31, Yeongcheol faced relationship difficulties due to inconsistent statements during his date with Yeongja. Yeongcheol explained his reason for choosing Yeongja by saying, "​External appearance has to be satisfying first for me to move to the next step." Yeongja responded to this by calling it "​a twist of fate," adding that if Yeongcheol had chosen her, she would have chosen him as well.

Yeongja brought up a situation where she misunderstood Yeongcheol's gesture as being directed towards Yeongsuk, asking, "Are you playing with me?" Yeongcheol replied, "​I like it when the other person is possessive. Being on my side means crossing boundaries freely. I want them to cross the line too." However, when Yeongja stated, "​I think the opposite; I believe in maintaining boundaries," Yeongcheol immediately changed his tune, showing erratic behavior. In an interview, Yeongja expressed her frustration, saying, "​It feels like we're clashing. We don't match. I don't know what he's trying to say."

Later, Yeongcheol stated, "I don't mind if a woman isn't capable." When Yeongja asked, "​So, if I quit my job and moved down there to live, would that be okay?" Yeongcheol replied, "​If I can't earn much money and you can spend accordingly, it's fine.
