Yoon So-yi Returns to K-Drama After 4 Years

Actress Yoon So-yi is resuming her acting activities after a four-year hiatus. Yoon So-yi will appear as the female lead in a project directed by actor Lee Joo-seung for ENA's short drama director project, 'Director's Arena'.

In this project, Yoon So-yi will undergo a dramatic transformation, taking on the role of a serial killer. She is expected to lead a suspenseful narrative, drawing on her extensive acting experience across various genres. Episodes 1 and 2 of the drama featuring Yoon So-yi are scheduled to be revealed on the 19th during the sixth episode of 'Director's Arena'.

'Director's Arena' is a director project program where participants from diverse fields plan and direct short dramas to compete. Directors such as Lee Joo-seung, Choi Gwi-hwa, Lee Yoo-jin, Han Sang-il, and Han Soo-ji are participating.

Yoon So-yi, who debuted in 2001, built her filmography with appearances in KBS's 'Iris 2', SBS's 'The Last Empress', and TV Chosun's 'Leverage'. She married musical actor Cho Sung-yoon in 2017 and gave birth to their daughter in 2021. She returned to acting in 2022 with TV Chosun's 'The Witch Is Alive', but has since taken a break from acting projects for a while.
