Jimin Tops Charts as 'Intro Master'

BTS's Jimin Selected as 'Intro Master' in Online Themed Vote Jimin ranked first in the My One Pick poll, conducted via fan voting, on the theme of 'Intro Master Who Finishes the Stage with the First Line.' As a reward for his first-place finish, advertisements were displayed at major locations in Gangnam.

A prime example cited for solidifying Jimin's image as an 'Intro Master' is BTS's second full album title track, 'Blood Sweat & Tears.' At the time, Jimin took on the first line of the song, overwhelmingly elevating the luxurious yet sexy atmosphere and drawing many into the fandom. He led the intro part of this song, becoming the member naturally associated with 'Blood Sweat & Tears.'

In addition to 'Blood Sweat & Tears,' Jimin has played a role in clearly revealing the mood and color of BTS songs from the beginning by performing distinct intros in various tracks such as 'Save Me,' 'Best Of Me,' 'Answer: Love Myself,' 'Boy With Luv,' and 'ON.'

A survey conducted by Japanese media outlet DANMEE, titled 'K-POP Male Idol Heart-Fluttering Moment!! Which MV Scene Did You Choose?', revealed that BTS Jimin's 'Blood Sweat & Tears' music video scene took first place. He received 9,135 votes out of a total of 17,489 votes (52.23%). Scenes from TVXQ's Yunho, SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan, Stray Kids' Hyunjin, and THE BOYZ's Younghoon were also among the nominees.

Jimin coined the phrase 'Intro Master' with the release of 'Blood Sweat & Tears' in 2016, captivating global audiences. With the success of this song, BTS achieved significant success in the domestic music market and gained worldwide popularity. Notably, the most played part in the 'Blood Sweat & Tears' music video was Jimin's intro (from 0:55 to 1:05).
