Solhee Leaves SM Entertainment for New Beginning

Singer Solhee is releasing her new single 'Stay' after approximately five years, shedding the title of an SM Entertainment artist and embarking on independent musical activities. This single is a song that captures the complex emotions of holding onto each other even after saying goodbye, expressing the lingering resonance of separation against a cheerful sound.

Solhee debuted in 2019 through an SM subsidiary label and has since solidified her position by working as a lyricist for popular idol groups such as NCT, MONSTA X, and IVE. This single release, after about four years and five months, signifies a response to her fans' long wait. Solhee stated, "I felt that now is the most important time for me to be active as a performer," expressing her desire to continue her artistic momentum while also pursuing her songwriting activities.

Leaving SM and seeking a new direction, Solhee began to contemplate how to take the lead in her music production. She subsequently established a personal company and built an independent operational system to oversee the entire music production process herself. She is coordinating the album production process, including recording, mixing, mastering, songwriter collaborations, and meetings with distributors, and is creating a stable production environment based on her past experiences and her network of industry contacts.

Starting with this new song, Solhee plans to gradually shorten the intervals between her activities, with a short-term goal of releasing more work within this year. She aims to regain her momentum through single-focused projects and has expressed her ambition to become an artist who does not disappoint her fans.
