Hong Ji Yoon's Best Friend to Compete in 2026 Korea-Japan Singing Show

'2026 Korea-Japan Singer Battle' will feature the TOP7 national representatives from South Korea: Hong Ji-yoon, Cha Ji-yeon, Lee Soo-yeon, Gu Soo-kyung, Kang Hye-yeon, Kim Tae-yeon, and Solji, and the TOP7 national representatives from Japan: Honno Inoue, Azuma Aki, Natalia D, Tae Ri, Shimokita Hina, Nagai Manami, and Arakawa Karen, delivering an epic stage.

Premiering on April 14th at 9:50 PM, '2026 Korea-Japan Singer Battle' is the world's only Korea-Japan music national competition produced by Crea Studio, where the TOP7 from 'Hyunyeok Ga-wang - Kahi (Japan Edition)' and the TOP7 from South Korea's 'Hyunyeok Ga-wang 3' compete representing their respective countries with national missions and pride.

This program holds significant meaning as it delivers the emotion of music that transcends borders and genres to viewers, and serves as a bridge for cultural exchange between Korea and Japan. Previous '2025 Korea-Japan Singer Battle' participants proved to be a stepping stone for the birth of mega-stars in Korea and Japan, setting records such as the early sell-out of the Tokyo joint concert and the 5-minute sell-out of the Japanese team's queen Yudai's solo fan concert in Korea.

The first episode will feature the preliminary round called '100 Seconds Battle', where the TOP7 from Korea and Japan will showcase their talent and passion condensed into 100 seconds. Attention is focused on which team will take first place in the '100 Seconds Battle' between the two evenly matched teams.

After one of the veteran singers finishes their performance and bursts into tears, both the Korean and Japanese teams are moved to tears with cross-border empathy. 'Korea-Japan Singerz' Park Seo-jin and Yudai, participating as 'Special Judges', draw attention by picking their favorite members from each other's teams.
