'I Am Solo' 31st Season Oksoon's Unreleased Video Deleted

Controversy surrounding Oksoon, a contestant on the ENA and SBS Plus dating reality show "I Am Solo," is escalating. Following a controversy over "backbiting" in the main broadcast, rude remarks made in an unreleased video have ignited further criticism.

An unreleased video uploaded to the YouTube channel "Chonjang Entertainment TV" on the 8th showed contestants gathered in the living room on the night of the third day. When Kyungsoo, whom she seemed to like, went to talk with Yeongsook, Sunja showed a grim expression. Oksoon, watching this, said to Sunja, "Is this a documentary? Did someone die? Is this a wake? Smile a little." As Sunja forced a smile, Oksoon continued with condescending remarks, saying "Are you jealous?" and "Love is something you fight for." When Sunja retorted, "I am fighting for it," Oksoon sneered, "Oh my, look at that confidence."

Viewers pointed out Oksoon's remarks, which disregarded the other person's negative emotions, as "crossing the line" and abandoning basic courtesy. The criticism was particularly intense because it came shortly after a scene was broadcast in the main show where Oksoon, along with Yeongsook and Jeonghee, gossiped about Sunja next to Sunja's room. MC Defconn also commented on the show, "This is too much. It's scary," and recommended an apology.

Instead of reflecting, Oksoon's mocking attitude revealed in the unreleased footage led netizens to flood the video with over 20,000 critical comments. As the controversy spread, the production team eventually made the video private on the 11th.

The current controversy has extended to the contestants' personal lives, with malicious comments appearing on the dental clinic review board run by Yeongho, a contestant who was rumored to be a potential final couple with Oksoon. Amidst criticism that "I Am Solo," which presents itself as a reality program, has exposed "group bullying" beyond mere conflict between contestants without filtering, attention is focused on whether Oksoon herself will issue a direct apology.
