Kang Sung Yeon Remarries: A Miracle Love Story

Actress Kang Sung-yeon announced news of her remarriage. Kang Sung-yeon expressed her excitement for a new beginning through her Instagram, stating, "Because of you who have embraced and protected my aching heart during this long time, I could smile. You who gifted me the strength and time to live again! Everything with you feels like a miracle."

She further informed her fans, "To all the fans who wished for the happiness of me, Si-an, and Hae-an, and cheered me on passionately. Thanks to you, my children and I are building a new family with a wonderful person and creating precious laughter and happiness within the ordinary," and added the reason for the late announcement, "There were times I was cautious, fearing it might cause a stir, so I ask for your deep understanding for informing you now."

Kang Sung-yeon mentioned that Instagram is her only channel of communication as she is not officially active as an actress, and confessed her complex feelings, saying, "While preparing for Children's Day and Parents' Day side-by-side, this year, in particular, many thoughts crossed my mind. As the youngest daughter among four siblings of my beloved parents who are approaching 80, as the mother of two elementary school-aged boys born in consecutive years, and... as a wife in a new family I will build, what mindset should I have?"

She declared her new start with a positive mindset, stating, "Although I went through some solemn and heavy days, in the end, the most important and easiest way is my own happiness. Even the unhappy days are a part of my precious, once-in-a-lifetime journey, so I will fold them in and build it sturdily. Empowered by your precious support, I will become even happier."

Kang Sung-yeon married jazz pianist Kim Ga-on in 2012 and had two sons. However, they divorced in December 2023, after 10 years of marriage.
