Singer and musical actor Lee Ji-hoon's wife, Ayane, has been embroiled in a "daycare controversy," and Lee Ji-hoon has personally apologized. Lee Ji-hoon posted a photo of their daughter, Ruhee, on his social media with the caption, "Our Ruhee is on a no-salt diet. Previously, Ayane expressed her dissatisfaction with the daycare on her personal account, stating, "Ruhee is still a baby on a no-salt diet, so she only eats rice crackers and doesn't even eat vitamin candies. But yesterday, I found a candy wrapper in a non-woven bag she brought home from daycare. She now knows she can eat them."
In response, some netizens criticized Ayane, calling her "fussy" and accusing her of writing the post "only to be seen by the daycare teachers. It's sad." Ayane lamented, "Do daycares really give out candy? I'm genuinely asking because I don't know. I have no feelings towards the teachers and don't think they did anything wrong. I just posted because I was a little upset, and I apologize to the teachers." She also retorted, "The WHO recommends a no-salt diet for children under 24 months. Is it so funny that we try our best to adhere to it at home?"

As the controversy escalated, Ayane stated, "I don't think all children should be on a no-salt diet, nor do I think it's wrong to have a salted diet. Every parent wants their child to grow up healthy, and I don't understand why being on a no-salt diet would be a target for ridicule." She further clarified, "I was just surprised because I didn't know that children might receive candy at daycare; I wasn't negatively thinking about the act of giving candy itself." She added, "I told them there was absolutely no need to pay special attention to our child individually. I apologized because the situation has become like this."
