Scarecrow Leads Blue Dragon Series Awards Nominations

The final nominees for the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards have been announced. This year's awards ceremony will honor dramas and variety shows released on domestic and international streaming platforms between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. Notably, the participation rate of expert voters reached an all-time high, underscoring the immense interest in K-content.

In the drama category, 'Scarecrow' received the honor of being the most nominated work, securing a total of six nominations, including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best New Actor, and Best New Actress. Park Hae-soo was nominated for Best Actor, while Jung Moon-sung and Kwak Sun-young were nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. Song Geon-hee and Seo Ji-hye were selected as nominees for Best New Actor and Best New Actress. 'The Legend of the Mess Hall Cook' followed with five nominations across four categories, including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best New Actor.

The nominees for Best Drama are 'Made in Korea,' 'Yumi's Cells Season 3,' 'Eun Joong and Sang Yeon,' 'The Legend of the Mess Hall Cook,' and 'Scarecrow.' For Best Actor, Kim Seon-ho, Kim Woo-bin, Park Ji-hoon, Park Hae-soo, and Hyun Bin will compete. In the Best Actress category, Go Youn-jung, Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young, Park Ji-hyun, and Shin Hye-sun have been nominated, signaling a fierce competition.

The Supporting Actor and Newcomer categories also feature a strong lineup of actors who enhanced the quality of their respective productions. Nominees for Best Supporting Actor include Yoon Kyung-ho, Lee Kwang-soo, Lee Sang-yi, Jung Moon-sung, and Jin Sun-kyu. For Best Supporting Actress, Kwak Sun-young, Moon Jung-hee, Park Bo-kyung, Seo Eun-soo, and Im Soo-jung are nominated. The nominees for Best New Actor are Kim Jae-won, Kim Jin-wook, Baek Sun-ho, Song Geon-hee, and Lee Hong-nae, while the nominees for Best New Actress are Kim Min, Bang Hyo-rin, Seo Ji-hye, Arin, and Jeon So-young.

The variety show category also boasts a stellar lineup of nominees. The nominees for Best Variety Program are 'Driver: The Rival,' 'I'm a Mother-in-Law but I Want to Date,' 'Yoo Jae-suk Camp,' 'Office Workers Season 2,' and 'Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War Season 2.' For Best Male Entertainer, Kim Won-hoon, Shin Dong-yup, Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, and Joo Woo-jae will compete. In the Best Female Entertainer category, Kim Sook, Lee Su-ji, Lee Eun-ji, Jung Irang, and Ji Ye-eun are nominated.
