IU Donates $300K for Birthday
Singer and actress IU continued her good deeds by donating 300 million won to celebrate her birthday. Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced that IU made the donation in the name of her fan club, 'IUena'.

The donated funds were delivered as 100 million won to Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and 50 million won each to Walking Together, Milk Delivery for the Elderly, the Korean Single Mothers' Families Association, and Warm Companion. The donations are planned to be used in various areas, including support for patients facing financial difficulties, educational and cultural support for children and adolescents, care for elderly individuals living alone, support for single-mother households in vulnerable situations, and provision of advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.

IU has consistently donated in the name of 'IUena' on meaningful days such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end and New Year holidays, and is known as a representative 'donation angel' in the entertainment industry. She recently donated 100 million won for children and adolescents on Children's Day.

In the past, IU also donated 200 million won to support wildfire victims in the Gyeongsang region and improve the treatment of firefighters, and has continuously donated through various occasions like Children's Day, birthdays, debut anniversaries, and year-end holidays. Last year alone, her cumulative donations reportedly reached 950 million won.
