IU Donates $300K for Birthday
Singer and actress IU has donated a total of 300 million won to celebrate her birthday. Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced on the 16th that IU made the donation in the name of her fandom, 'IUena' (IU + fandom name).

The donations were distributed as follows: 100 million won to Seoul Asan Medical Center, and 50 million won each to Together We Walk, Milk Delivery for the Elderly, Korea Single Mothers' Families Association, and Warm Companion. These funds will be used for practical support for various groups, including assistance for patients facing financial difficulties, educational and cultural support for children and adolescents, care for elderly individuals living alone, support for single-mother households in vulnerable situations, and provision of advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.

IU has consistently practiced good deeds by continuing to donate in the name of 'IUena' on meaningful days such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end holidays. She recently donated 100 million won for children and adolescents on Children's Day, and in March of last year, she delivered 200 million won to support victims of wildfires in the Gyeongsang region and improve the treatment of firefighters. Additionally, she donated 150 million won for children and adolescent support on Children's Day last year, 200 million won each for her birthday and debut anniversary, and 200 million won at the end of the year.
