Red Devils' Gwanghwamun Cheer Sparks Korean Fan Frenzy

The group Cortis participated in the Gwanghwamun street cheering event. Cortis appeared as a specially invited artist at the street cheering event held in front of Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 12th, ahead of the ‘2026 FIFA North, Central American and Caribbean World Cup Mexico’ Group A, Matchday 1 between South Korea and Czech Republic.

On this day, Cortis appeared in red cheering outfits with face paint, receiving cheers from the Red Devils who visited the venue. They sang ‘​For Victory’ with the rock band Transfixion, wishing for the national team's victory, and heightened the excitement of the event by performing their popular songs ‘YOUNGCREATORCREW’ and ‘REDRED’.

Meanwhile, the Korean national football team, led by coach Hong Myung-bo, played their first Group A match of the North, Central American and Caribbean World Cup against the Czech Republic at the Estadio Akron in Zapopan, Mexico, at 11 AM on the 12th (Korean time). In the match, South Korea conceded the opening goal to Czech Republic's Ladislav Krejčí in the 14th minute of the second half, but succeeded in coming from behind to win 2-1 with an equalizer from Hwang In-beom in the 22nd minute of the second half and a go-ahead goal from Oh Hyun-gyu in the 35th minute of the second half, securing their first victory.
