Byeon Woo-seok Crowned King of 21st Century

In the 11th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Grand Prince of the 21st Century,' Grand Prince Ian (played by Byun Woo-seok) overcame various crises and ascended the throne.

On this day's broadcast, Sung Hee-joo (played by IU) heard news of a fire accident in the royal court and, knowing Grand Prince Ian was inside, rushed into the flames. With the help of Choi Hyun (played by Yoo Soo-bin), Sung Hee-joo and Grand Prince Ian escaped safely, but Grand Prince Ian had lost consciousness. Sung Hee-joo asked Do Hye-jung (played by Lee Yeon) why Grand Prince Ian went to the royal court and that the abdication (transfer of the throne) must take place in the main hall. This led Sung Hee-joo to investigate the royal court and surrounding CCTV, beginning to suspect several individuals, including Grand Queen Dowager Yoon I-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon), who had opposed Grand Prince Ian's abdication.

Later, Grand Prince Ian regained consciousness, and news reports emerged that the suspect in the fire accident had surrendered, identified as a member of the royal guard. Grand Prince Ian remarked, "How interesting. As if you were waiting for me to wake up," and quickly returned to his official duties. Yoon I-rang, upon hearing of the return of Grand Prince Ian and Sung Hee-joo, stated, "This is the opportunity, and I will not miss it." Her father, Yoon Sung-won (played by Jo Jae-hyun), requested, "He almost lost his life in a gas explosion. Use safety as an excuse to suspend his official duties." However, Yoon I-rang, suspicious of Yoon Sung-won, questioned how he knew the fire was caused by gas.

Upon learning that the royal court fire was her father Yoon Sung-won's doing, Yoon I-rang went to Grand Prince Ian, knelt, and confessed, "My father is trying to kill you.
