MBC's Friday-Saturday drama '21st Century Crown Princess' has set a new box office record, becoming the most-watched Korean series globally on Disney+ for 28 days after its release. This achievement holds true for the global market, excluding the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Premiering on April 10th, '21st Century Crown Princess' quickly garnered a strong fanbase in major regions across North America and Europe, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and Germany, as well as South America, such as Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. It rose to the top among Korean series on Disney+.

The drama's global cumulative viewing time has surpassed 43 million hours. Notably, episode 8 saw a 43% increase in viewership compared to episode 1, based on viewing data from the first 7 days after its release. With these accomplishments, '21st Century Crown Princess' is recognized as the Korean content with the greatest global scalability released on Disney+ to date.

Set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy in South Korea, '21st Century Crown Princess' is a romance drama that tells the story of 'Seong Hee-ju' (played by IU), a chaebol heiress with everything but frustrated by her commoner status, and 'Prince Ian' (played by Byun Woo-seok), a king's son who is sad because he can possess nothing.
