IOI's 10-Year Story 'LOOP' Revealed

Girl group I.O.I, ahead of their full group comeback, has previewed a well-made album completed with the members' participation. I.O.I officially kicked off their comeback fervor by releasing highlight audio snippets for their third mini-album, ‘I.O.I : LOOP,’ through their official channels on the 13th. The released video contains the diverse genres of sound included in the new album, raising anticipation. The impressive array of sounds ranges from refreshing and upbeat grooves to straightforward band sounds and synthesizers, as well as warm piano and string melodies, all enhanced by I.O.I's unique vibrant charm and refreshing energy.

Through the highlight audio, I.O.I is proving their expanded musical spectrum by revealing the six tracks that will be included in the new album. As the music captures I.O.I's 10-year narrative, fans' expectations have grown even higher. Notably, the members' direct participation has added further meaning to this new release. Jeon Somi participated in the first track ‘IOI (Where My Girls At)’ and the title track ‘Suddenly,’ while Yoo Yeonjung and Chung Ha worked on the B-side tracks ‘IF I’ and ‘Back Then, Us, Now,’ respectively.

I.O.I (Im Nayoung, Chung Ha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, Jeon Somi) released an audio snippet previewing all tracks of their third mini-album, 'I.O.I : LOOP,' through their official SNS on the 13th. The video, designed with a film projector concept that evokes rewinding time, captured attention. Highlight audio snippets of a total of six tracks flowed sequentially over film frames imbued with an analog sensibility, offering a sneak peek into the new album's atmosphere.

The first track released, 'IOI (Where My Girls At),' brought a welcome feeling with its depiction of I.O.I's signature bright and refreshing energy. Next, the title track 'Suddenly' creates an atmosphere reminiscent of nostalgic memories, based on emotional synth-pop sounds. The B-side tracks also captivated music fans with their unique charms. 'SPF 100+ (Summer Pop Fantasy),' an Afrobeats track, stood out with its upbeat rhythm and refreshing sound, while the rock-based track 'IF I' amplified the energy through a harmonious blend of powerful synthesizers and band sounds. Furthermore, the ballad track 'Back Then, Us, Now' stirred emotions with its warm piano melodies and rich string arrangements.
