Park Gunwook, a member of the group ZEROBASEONE, has personally apologized for the controversy surrounding alleged manipulation of a fan signing event raffle. Park Gunwook began by stating on a fan communication platform, "I sincerely want to apologize for my actions at a recent fan signing event."

The controversy arose during a Polaroid photo giveaway event at a recent fan signing. A video captured by fans showed Park Gunwook calling out a winning number different from the one he drew. This video quickly spread through online communities and social media, raising suspicions of manipulation to benefit a specific attendee.

In his apology, Park Gunwook stated, "I should have judged and acted more carefully at the venue at the time, but I failed to do so," and "I am taking to heart the confusion and hurt I have caused to many people as a result." He added, "Although I have always cherished the feelings fans send me, I am sorry that I could not show you a demeanor worthy of those feelings," and "I will not take this matter lightly and will sincerely reflect on my actions."

He expressed his apologies not only to the fans but also to his fellow members and the event staff. Park Gunwook said, "I am sorry to disappoint my Zerose (fandom name) once again, who have supported and believed in me during this album promotion," and "I also want to apologize to our ZEROBASEONE members and the staff who have been working hard alongside us."
