Olive Young Opens 2nd LA Store

CJ Olive Young has expanded its K-beauty territory by opening its second offline store in the United States, the 'Olive Young Century City store,' in Los Angeles, California.

On the opening day, the 13th (local time), local customers flocked to the store from early morning, forming an 'open run' queue stretching over 100 meters. The Century City store is approximately 250 square meters (about 76 pyeong) in size and is located in Westfield Century City, a major shopping complex in LA, within a premium commercial district adjacent to luxury shopping areas like Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, as well as upscale residential areas.

While the first store, the Pasadena branch, served as a flagship store to promote the brand identity to the 20s and 30s demographic interested in K-beauty, the Century City store will operate as a diffusion store to increase K-beauty awareness targeting the region's premium consumer base and global customers.

Reflecting local consumers' high interest in K-skincare, the Century City store expanded its skincare product shelves to 1.5 times the size of a standard domestic store. The store offers about 3,500 products from approximately 270 beauty and wellness brands, featuring dedicated sections such as 'The Boost & Glow Bar' for trendy serums and essences, 'The Prep Bar' for popular toner pads and sun care products, and a special space for beauty devices.

In particular, satisfaction with the experiential services, a strength of offline stores, has been reported to be high. The 'Skin Scan' service, offered free to membership holders, diagnoses skin concerns and recommends personalized products. Local customers expressed high satisfaction with the ability to try K-beauty products in person before purchasing, something they could previously only do online.
