Park Ji-hyun Aims for 10% 'Tomorrow' Rating

The production presentation for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama "Tomorrow's Office" was held online, with actors Seo In-guk, Park Ji-hyun, Kang Min-a, Choi Kyung-hoon, and director Jo Eun-sol in attendance. The drama is an office romance about Cha Ji-yoon (played by Park Ji-hyun), a seven-year veteran office worker suffering from everyday ennui, and her prickly boss Kang Si-woo (played by Seo In-guk), who become indispensable to each other, rediscovering excitement in both work and love. Based on a popular webtoon with over 200 million cumulative views, the drama is set to capture the empathy of real office workers, the thrill of office romance, and the memories of first love.

Director Jo Eun-sol cited the "script" as the reason for directing the drama, sharing his experience of feeling excited while reading the script on his tiring commute home. He revealed that he put great effort into strengthening the narrative based on the good characters, differentiating it from the original work. He also explained that the intricate and detailed narrative, developed through the process of building relationships from ordinary colleagues and expressing delicate emotions, would be a competitive edge.

Seo In-guk will showcase a transformation in his acting by playing Kang Si-woo, a charming character known as 'Kang Fox.' Kang Si-woo is a '3NO man' who doesn't smile, keeps his distance from people, and doesn't apologize easily, but harbors deep sincerity. Seo In-guk said he was motivated to take on the role because it required expressing restrained emotions. Park Ji-hyun will play Cha Ji-yoon, a seven-year veteran office worker who is sincere in both work and love but has fallen into complacency, aiming to resonate with K-office workers. She mentioned that she created the character with the help of her older sister, who is an actual office worker, and shared that Cha Ji-yoon's resilience in pursuing her passions despite various hardships and failures is appealing.

Regarding her chemistry with Seo In-guk, Park Ji-hyun revealed that she was initially nervous but quickly became close due to their similar sense of humor, and they worked well together during filming. She added that Seo In-guk was like a reliable supporter, leading the way and finalizing ideas. Seo In-guk reciprocated the sentiment about their chemistry, saying he felt they had a similar "grain" and that he felt they were a good match because she laughed at even trivial things.

Kang Min-a will play Yoon No-ah, Cha Ji-yoon's junior colleague and a straightforward romantic who is honest about love, bringing vitality to the drama. She shared that she felt a thrilling sensation from the reading sessions with Park Ji-hyun and was touched by how Park Ji-hyun, like a 친언니 (older sister), was so receptive and caring. Choi Kyung-hoon will play Jo Ga-eul, Cha Ji-yoon's first love from college and a band vocalist who dreams of becoming a singer, portraying a character who cherishes the excitement of youthful days.
