Lee Jae-wook & Shin Ye-eun Kiss Sparks Ratings Drop

The viewership rating for ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Doctor Smboy' recorded 4.9% for its 5th episode, a slight decrease from the previous episode's 5.2%. 'The Legend of the Chef,' broadcast at the same time, took first place in its time slot with a 7.0% rating.

In the 5th episode of 'Doctor Smboy,' Do Ji-han (played by Lee Jae-wook) and Yuk Ha-ri (played by Shin Ye-eun) were shown comforting each other and growing closer. A kiss between the two, confirming their true feelings, ended the episode, raising anticipation for the next one.

Do Ji-han, who had fallen into the sea, suffered from guilt over not being able to save Seon-u and trauma from past wounds. Upon learning that Yuk Ha-ri had saved him, Do Ji-han felt gratitude mixed with apology. Do Ji-han's accident also affected Pyeondongdo; Yong Ju-cheon (played by Kim Yun-woo) expressed his fear of patients and continued his treatment with the help of Eom Jeong-seon (played by Lee Soo-kyung).

Yuk Ha-ri felt burdened by rumors within the hospital and Do Ji-han's attitude. Out of guilt for causing trouble for Do Ji-han regarding the Jo Dong-seop incident, she confessed that she had lied about returning to Pyeondongdo to escape her grandmother.

Do Ji-han comforted Yuk Ha-ri by saying, "Everyone runs away when things get too hard," giving her the courage to face reality. Do Ji-han also decided to trust Yuk Ha-ri to overcome his trauma, and the two moved forward relying on each other. However, a new crisis loomed as Oh Mi-ja (played by Gil Hae-yeon) suddenly collapsed.
