Actress Lee Yeon Quits Acting After Appearance Criticism

Actress Lee Yeon revealed an experience where she almost gave up her acting career due to her appearance. Appearing on the MBC entertainment program "Omniscient Interfering View" on the 9th, Lee Yeon shared this confession while showing her daily life.

Lee Yeon was seen enjoying a sulfur hot spring after her morning hike. She mentioned that she frequently visits hot springs because she enjoys bathing and expressed a desire to go with people she's become close to. She also mentioned that she suggested going to a hot spring with IU, but was rejected.

While on the move, Lee Yeon stopped by the cafe she runs. Seeing her skillfully handle the coffee machine, her manager explained, "During her break, she said she wanted to try something rather than just relax, so she ended up opening a cafe."

Actor Lee Jong Won also visited Lee Yeon's cafe. Recalling their first meeting, Lee Jong Won said, "She had a bit of baby fat and sharp eyes," adding, "She gave off a dark vibe, almost like a rock star."

Later, Lee Yeon's agency CEO and manager visited the cafe. Lee Yeon confessed her past experiences of only receiving criticism about her appearance during meetings with other companies. She revealed that she was asked if she had considered growing her hair out or wearing skirts because her "eyes looked scary."
