Girls' Generation Tiffany Young Joins "Knowing Bros"

Girls' Generation member Tiffany Young responded positively to the nickname "Hyeongnim" (older brother/boss) that has been attached to her. She expressed satisfaction, believing the nickname aligns well with her musical identity.

Tiffany Young appeared on KBS Cool FM's "Paul Kim's Gayo Plaza" broadcast on May 15th to celebrate her 10th solo debut anniversary. During the broadcast, a listener sent in a story saying, "My husband is asking why they call you 'Tiffany Hyeongnim'."

In response, Tiffany Young explained that the honorific "Young-nim" often attached to her stage name is frequently misheard as "Hyeongnim." She cited an instance during Lee Mu-jin's live performance where she was called "Young-nim" but it was heard as "Hyeongnim," noting that such misunderstandings occur often.

Tiffany Young embraced the nickname "Hyeongnim" positively, connecting it to her musical style. She said, "When I do music, I tend to like band sounds and rich sounds, so it's okay if I'm called 'Hyeongnim' among junior musicians." To this, the host Paul Kim responded, "You are the 'Hyeongnim' among musicians."

Tiffany Young was born in 1989, making her 36 years old this year, and she is from San Francisco, California. She debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007 and released her first solo album in 2016. In 2018, she debuted as a solo artist in the United States, adding her middle name "Young" to her stage name, changing it to "Tiffany Young."
