Korean Actor Chae Ryu-jin Comes Out, Lee Jin-wook Reveals Ideal Type

Chae Ryu-jin, a former idol from Mnet's audition program "Boys 24" who came out as a transgender woman, stated, "I can date until I'm 60 years old." Chae Ryu-jin introduced herself as "​Chae Yu(Ryu)-jin living in Hongdae," revealing she is a Chzzk streamer with a height of 174cm and a weight of 54kg.

Chae Ryu-jin chose actor Lee Jin-wook as her ideal type, and regarding styling, she said, "​I like singer Choi Yena and follow her dot fashion." She added that she often hears she resembles Choi Yena and feels good about it.

During the interview, Chae Ryu-jin revealed, "Actually, I'm transgender," and disclosed her past participation in the audition program "Boys 24" as a male idol. She participated in "Boys 24" in 2016 under her birth name Chae Ho-cheol and debuted as a member of the group JWiiver in 2022.

In July of last year, Chae Ryu-jin garnered attention by revealing she was a transgender woman during an Instagram live broadcast, saying, "This is not a hobby, it's my life." At the time, foreign media outlets reported this as "​the first case of a K-pop 4th generation idol publicly coming out as transgender."

In this interview, Chae Ryu-jin addressed malicious comments, saying, "Please meet me before you judge. I don't smell bad or dirty. I smell like perfume." While she cited her legs as her most confident body part, she honestly admitted, "​I don't take care of them, so if you look closely, there are many scars."
