Yang Joon Hyuk's Younger Wife's Cafe Earns 5 Million Won

The sales of the cafe run by former baseball player Yang Joon-hyuk's wife have been revealed. On the KBS2TV show 'The Boss's Ear is a Donkey's Ear,' aired on the 3rd, star chef Jung Ji-sun visited Yang Joon-hyuk's business with his son. Yang Joon-hyuk runs a raw fish restaurant on the first floor, and his wife operates a cafe on the second floor. Inside the cafe, there were framed photos of Yang Joon-hyuk during his baseball career.

Jung Ji-sun expressed surprise that Yang Joon-hyuk's wife personally bakes bread and even develops drink menus. After tasting, Jung Ji-sun expressed satisfaction, saying, "It's delicious." Yang Joon-hyuk explained the reason for opening the cafe, stating, "​It was to create a flow for customers of the raw fish restaurant to naturally enjoy coffee after their meal."

When asked about the cafe's sales, Yang Joon-hyuk's wife replied, "Customers flock during the mackerel season, and visitors increase in the summer due to the nearby beaches." She added, "​On weekends, the cafe alone generates 3 to 4 million won in daily sales, and during the holiday season, it can reach 5 million won," which surprised everyone.

Yang Joon-hyuk mentioned that his wife almost single-handedly manages the cafe operations, to which his wife responded, "​He keeps telling me to earn money and spend it." Previously, Yang Joon-hyuk had revealed annual sales of 3 billion won on the broadcast and had received criticism from viewers for his attitude towards his wife on the same program.

Yang Joon-hyuk was criticized for telling his wife, who prepared the meal, "Don't you have kimchi?" and "It's bland," and for telling her "​You earn money at the cafe and spend it" without sharing his personal expenses. Additionally, his wife revealed that she hadn't visited her parents' home since the cafe opened and was seen enduring the cold in thin clothing. Studio panelists who watched this urged Yang Joon-hyuk, "Buy her a padded jacket," and "Take care of your wife."
