Kiki Releases OST for 21st Century Great Army Wife

Kakao Entertainment is embarking on IP diversification through the drama '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife'. The company plans to participate in the entire content spectrum, from drama production to OST planning and production, and fan community operation, expecting a virtuous cycle of IP. '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' depicts the romance between chaebol heiress Sung Hee-joo (IU) and Prince Ian of the royal family (Byun Woo-seok) against the backdrop of a constitutional monarchy in Korea.

The drama has garnered significant buzz even before its broadcast. IU and Byun Woo-seok ranked first and second, respectively, in the TV-OTT drama cast buzzworthy rankings. Kakao Entertainment has also strengthened its connection with the music business by participating in the OST production for this drama. A total of 11 teams, including RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, BIBI, Sam Kim, and Han Lo-ro, participated in the OST, along with artists from Kakao Entertainment's subsidiary labels, WOODZ, Kiki, and Hearts Wave.

Furthermore, Kakao Entertainment has established a fan communication space by operating an official fan community for '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' on its own fandom platform 'Berryz'. The plan is to foster post-viewing reviews, interpretations, and secondary creations within this community. A Kakao Entertainment representative stated, "We will expand and diversify the IP through crossover using a single IP, thereby extending the lifespan of the content."

Singer BIBI has taken the lead as the first OST artist for '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife'. The song 'My Face', sung by BIBI, captures the characteristics and message of the protagonist Sung Hee-joo, who carves out her own path in life without being bound by others' standards, status, or destiny. BIBI's signature languid vocals, explosive singing, and a powerful blend of guitar riffs and synthesizer sounds enhance the song's completeness.

In addition to BIBI, various artists such as RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, WOODZ, Kiki, Han Lo-ro, and Hearts Wave are participating in the OST for '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' to expand the emotional depth of the work. The drama premiered on the 10th, and BIBI's OST 'My Face' was released at 6 PM on the same day.
