Park Bo Gum Narrates Documentary 3

KBS's documentary program 'Documentary 3 Days' is returning to viewers after a four-year hiatus since its conclusion in 2022. The production team stated, "We consider 'Documentary 3 Days' an 'archive that records the faces of Koreans' because we have continuously filmed in the most everyday places," and pledged to do their best to live up to the opportunity created by the viewers.

'Documentary 3 Days' is a documentary that observes and records 72 hours in a specific location, and it has been consistently loved for 15 years since its first broadcast in 2007. The 'catalyst' for the program's return was the special episode 'About Time - A Journey Back 10 Years,' aired last August. In particular, a post by VJ Lee Ji-won on her personal social media regarding the episode, which captured a promise to reunite at Andong Station 10 years prior, became a hot topic and ignited public opinion for the program's return.

The production team analyzed that viewers are thirsty for 'sincerity.' PD Lee Yi-baek said, "As short-form content became popular, we saw that interviews from the past 'Documentary 3 Days' were being re-discussed in short-form clips," adding, "We felt that people were thirsty for others' sincere stories." The production team identified 'the power that comes from reality' as 'Documentary 3 Days'' greatest strength and stated they would focus on restoring originality by not distorting time and space through editing.

The first destination for the newly returned 'Documentary 3 Days' is Bus No. 273, which garnered attention 14 years ago with 'Youth Bus.' PD Lee Yi-baek explained, "Although it's the same space, I thought the concerns of young people would have changed with the passage of time," adding, "We still tried to capture the passionate and brilliant lives of young people." An episode was also shared where the son of the bus driver who appeared in the broadcast 14 years ago coincidentally ended up driving the same bus, creating a touching moment on set.

The narration lineup has also been revealed. The first part, 'Bus No. 273,' will be narrated by singer Yoo Hee-yeol, the program's iconic voice. The second part, the military band episode, will feature actor Park Bo-gum, a former member of the military band, adding authenticity. The third part, which tells the story one year after the Yeongnam wildfires, will be narrated by announcer Kang Seung-ho.
