Lee Chan-won Donates Over $60K, Reaches New Milestone

Singer Lee Chan-won continued his charitable work for children with pediatric cancer and rare incurable diseases by donating his prize money from the "Seonhan Star" King of Kings competition. The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation announced that Lee Chan-won delivered 1 million won in prize money from the March "Seonhan Star" King of Kings competition to be used as medical treatment expenses for children with these illnesses.

This donation is an example of how fan support through the "Seonhan Star" platform has directly led to financial assistance for the treatment of children. The donated funds will be used for families facing significant financial burdens due to long-term treatment, covering general medical expenses such as hospitalization fees, treatment costs, transplant expenses, and the purchase of rare medications.

Lee Chan-won has consistently made donations through "Seonhan Star," and with this latest contribution, his cumulative donation amount has reached a total of 76.71 million won. This is particularly meaningful as it represents repeated donations rather than a one-time event.

A representative from the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation stated, "We are deeply grateful to singer Lee Chan-won for his continuous warm heart each month, and to his fans for their support," adding, "The funds will be responsibly used for children who urgently need treatment."

Meanwhile, Lee Chan-won is scheduled to meet with fans at the encore performances of his national tour concert 'Brilliant Day' at Seoul KSPO DOME on May 9th and 10th.
