Korean Couple's Hell: 149kg Husband's Binge Eating

A couple going through a divorce contemplation period will appear on MBC's 'Oh Eun Young Report - Marriage Hell'. After the wife filed for divorce in January, they sought out Dr. Oh Eun Young with the mindset that this was their last chance. The conflict that drove the couple to the brink centered on the husband's binge eating.

The husband, currently weighing 149kg, displayed an enormous appetite, such as emptying a large tub of ice cream in one sitting or eating instant tteokbokki straight from the rice cooker. The husband stated, "I like to eat. When I eat a lot, my monthly bread expenses alone would be around 600,000 to 700,000 won."

The wife expressed her anxiety about her husband's binge eating, saying, "It's frightening. I feel like we'll die apart." Even when she asked him to control his food intake for his health, the husband would deflect with wordplay or shift the blame to her, saying, "​I binge eat because I get stressed because of my wife." The wife, exhausted by this attitude, has reportedly become increasingly thin.
