Ha Jung-woo Becomes Landlord in 'The Childe' Ending

The tvN Saturday-Sunday drama "How to Become a Building Owner in Korea" (hereafter "Building Owner") concluded with a twist ending featuring Shim Eun-kyung's death and Ha Jung-woo's kidnapping. The final episode depicted Yoona (played by Shim Eun-kyung) dying and Ki Su-jong (played by Ha Jung-woo) rising to the position of CEO of Nouveau City.

Yoona exposed Ki Su-jong's corruption related to Kim Kyun's (played by Kim Nam-gil) death, taking Jeon Yi-kyung (played by Jung Soo-jung) and her daughter, Ki Da-rae (played by Park Seo-kyung), hostage. Ki Su-jong attempted to appease her by offering to give up his Nouveau City shares, but in the tense standoff, Jang Eui-sa (played by Lee Shin-ki), Ki Su-jong's confidant, appeared and shot Yoona. Yoona ultimately died. Ki Su-jong evaded crisis by disguising all the deaths at the scene as accidents during police investigation.

One year later, Ki Su-jong had seized control of Nouveau City and became a self-made building owner. Although he lived a seemingly glamorous life, his inner world was filled with loneliness. His wife, Kim Sun (played by Im Soo-jung), with whom he was separated, informed him of their divorce, and Ki Su-jong accepted it calmly.

The ending concluded with a shocking twist. After receiving a certified mail regarding the Nouveau City auction, Ki Su-jong was kidnapped by an unidentified man (played by Ju Ji-hoon) at the place where he went to meet his family. When the mask was removed, Ki Su-jong saw the treacherous Jang Eui-sa before him. As the man proposed, "Building owner, shall we talk about our business?", Ki Su-jong responded, "Anything," leading to a powerful open ending with them staring intently at each other.

Meanwhile, the drama "Secret Audit," starring Shin Hye-sun and Gong Myung, will air as the follow-up to "Building Owner."
