Actor Jung Ji-hoon attempted a dramatic transformation in the Netflix series 'Hunting Dogs' Season 2, taking on the role of 'Baek Jung', his first villainous role. He chose to set aside his calculations as an actor and immerse himself in the character, a dedication that paid off, earning him praise for portraying a villain who seemed to be "​wearing his own clothes."

'Hunting Dogs' Season 2 tells the story of Geon-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi), who, after taking down a group of illegal loan sharks, now face off against a global illegal boxing league where money and violence reign supreme. Within two weeks of its release, the series garnered 7.4 million views and landed on the Top 10 list in 80 countries worldwide, demonstrating its global popularity.

Baek Jung, played by Jung Ji-hoon, is the mastermind behind the illegal boxing league, a key villain who stands at the pinnacle of power, both as a hunter and the one who commands the hunters. He plays a crucial role in pushing Geon-woo and Woo-jin to their absolute limits.

Jung Ji-hoon expressed his gratitude for joining the sequel of the popular series, stating, "Rather than the pressure of appearing in a popular work, I had many challenges given to me, so it was a constant battle with myself throughout filming."
