BIGBANG Coachella Day D-Day: K-Pop Icons Set to Perform

Group BIGBANG will take the Coachella Festival stage as the opening act for a grand party celebrating their 20th debut anniversary. BIGBANG is scheduled to perform for approximately 60 minutes on the Outdoor Theatre stage at the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' (hereinafter referred to as 'Coachella'), the world's largest music festival, held in Indio, California, on April 12th and 19th (local time).

'Coachella', which began in 1999, is a festival boasting tradition and authority, attracting 200,000 to 300,000 attendees annually. It is known for selecting and inviting artists with both popular appeal and musical talent, making it a dream stage for many artists. BIGBANG's connection with 'Coachella' was nearly realized in 2020, but it was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reconnecting with 'Coachella' after six years, BIGBANG has completed preparations to perform as a complete trio.

Notably, this 'Coachella' performance is significant as it takes place in the commemorative year of BIGBANG's 20th debut anniversary. Debuting on August 19, 2006, BIGBANG has been a leading force in the K-pop craze, not only domestically but globally, with numerous hit songs such as 'Haru Haru', 'FANTASTIC BABY', 'BANG BANG BANG', 'Lies', and 'Last Farewell'. Beyond group activities, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have also actively pursued solo careers, proving the group's continued strength.

Ahead of the performance, on the 10th, surprise teasers of stages for songs like ‘BANG BANG BANG’, ‘FANTASTIC BABY’, and ‘WE LIKE 2 PARTY’ heightened fans' anticipation. This concert is expected to satisfy the long wait of global fans with a setlist encompassing their many hit songs.

This 'Coachella' performance holds even deeper meaning as it marks the start of a spectacular party for BIGBANG, celebrating their 20th anniversary.
