Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha Clarifies JYP 50/50 Contract

Kim Ryangha, formerly of the twin duo "Ryangha & Ryangha," has spoken for the first time about the whereabouts of the billions of won in earnings he made during his active career. In a video released on the YouTube channel "Byungjin Hyung," Kim Ryangha revealed that thanks to the 50/50 contract with his then-agency JYP Entertainment, he was paid proportionally to what he earned. He denied the "dog-eating-dog" theory raised by some, expressing gratitude to JYP and Park Jinyoung.

The issue lay in how the settlement money was stored. Kim Ryangha explained, "My father withdrew all the settlement money in cash and kept it." He added that they trusted their father and didn't check separately. However, while he was serving in the military, his father suddenly passed away from a myocardial infarction, leading to the unfortunate situation where the whereabouts of the billions of won became unknown.

Kim Ryangha confessed, "After my father passed away, I had no idea where the money was." He mentioned that he regretted not being able to bring up the topic of money with his father due to the strictness characteristic of people from Busan. Despite losing a large fortune, Kim Ryangha calmly stated, "​Many people know how I promoted and how I earned. I am living diligently with just that memory."

Currently, Kim Ryangha revealed that he is taking some distance from his twin brother Ryangha, as they are focusing on their individual lives. He also added that he is working hard on his solo endeavors, including recently starting a meal kit business and planning to release new music this year.
