Olive Young Summer Beauty Care Tips

CJ Olive Young is holding a "Survival Beauty" campaign until July and showcasing related special exhibitions on its online mall, in response to the trend of summers arriving earlier and lasting longer due to climate change. "Survival Beauty" refers to the trend of beauty products designed for survival in hot and humid environments, protecting and managing the skin. Recently, due to abnormal weather patterns, consumer trends are expanding to manage complex skin concerns such as heat, oiliness, and blemishes, going beyond just UV protection.

To address these changes, Olive Young has curated a total of 120 beauty and wellness products into four themes. These themes are ▲UV Care ▲Blemish Care ▲Oil & Sweat Care ▲Cooling Care. Instead of focusing on traditional categories, the products are organized based on customers' actual concerns, allowing them to explore a variety of items from color cosmetics to skin, body, and hair care products together.

In particular, the "UV Care" category has been strengthened to meet the increasing demand for skin protection from UV rays. From July to September of last year, sales in Olive Young's sun care category increased by 281% compared to the same period the previous year. Multi-layered care methods, using various formulations such as sun creams, sun sticks, and sun sprays, are also becoming more widespread. Accordingly, Olive Young is offering not only sun care products in various formulations but also hair mists and hand care products to manage hair and hands exposed to UV rays.

Categories reflecting increased concerns about skin blemishes and oiliness in hot and humid environments have also been established. This includes skincare products centered on zinc ingredients that help soothe blemishes, as well as fixers to enhance makeup longevity and deodorants for body odor management. Additionally, "Cooling Care" product lines such as cooling body mists and cooling shampoos offering a refreshing sensation are being introduced to lower skin temperature.

Promotions offering discounts on Survival Beauty products will also be held in June and July, as summer fully sets in. In conjunction with Olive Young's major sales events like the "Ollyeong Sale" and "Ollyeong Pick," these survival beauty items, designed for head-to-toe care, will be offered at reasonable prices.
