In the 5th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Grand Heir of the 21st Century,' viewers saw Sung Hee-joo (played by IU) and Grand Heir Ian (played by Byun Woo-seok) grow closer after overcoming a crisis. Sung Hee-joo's concern for Grand Heir Ian, who had to undergo surgery after trying to save her, and Grand Heir Ian's observation of her deepened their bond.

In the broadcast that day, Grand Heir Ian saved Sung Hee-joo when her car's brakes malfunctioned, narrowly avoiding a major accident. Sung Hee-joo visited Grand Heir Ian, who was recovering from surgery, and expressed her worry, saying, "Are you crazy? Why did you jump in there!" He replied, "Don't create situations where I have to cover for you." Sung Hee-joo grumbled, "Anyone would think I love you dearly."
