One Hundred Loses to Nomos, Controversy Erupts

One Hundred Label lost a lawsuit to entech company Nomus regarding the online broadcasting rights for The Boyz's concert. When asked for an official statement by 'Sports Kyunghyang', Cha Ga-won's legal representative refused to respond, stating, "It is difficult to respond. I am the representative for an empty shell company."

On the 22nd, the Seoul Central District Court's 50th Civil Division granted Nomus's injunction to prohibit the broadcasting of The Boyz's concert, which Nomus had filed against One Hundred Label. The court determined that Nomus held the exclusive rights to the related business and ruled that One Hundred Label must pay Nomus 50 million won per violation if they allow a third party to broadcast the concert online. One Hundred Label will also bear the litigation costs.

Nomus had signed an exclusive contract with One Hundred Label for the online broadcasting of The Boyz's solo concert 'INTERSECTION', which is scheduled to take place from the 24th to the 26th. Nomus had paid the costs and sold tickets accordingly. However, on the 15th, One Hundred Label unilaterally notified Nomus of their refusal to fulfill the contract, leading to the suspension of streaming ticket sales and refunds. Consequently, Nomus filed an injunction with the court to prohibit the concert broadcast.

One Hundred Label argued that the trust relationship was broken due to the lack of stability in Nomus's fan communication platform 'FROM' service. They countered by stating their decision to collaborate with a company that utilizes MBC, which has a stable broadcasting system.

However, the court did not accept One Hundred Label's claim for lawful termination of the contract. The court ruled in favor of Nomus, citing that Nomus had successfully managed the online broadcasting of two previous The Boyz concerts last year, separate from the 'FROM' live streaming.
