As the voting deadline for the 2026 Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards approaches, fierce competition is unfolding in the major categories. This awards ceremony determines winners through direct fan voting, and the final first-place winner in each category will be officially honored at the ceremony held at the National Assembly on May 23rd. Currently, the competition is particularly intense for the top spots in the K-POP Male Idol Star Award, Trot Male Star Award, Trot Female Star Award, and Trot Best Song Award.
In the Trot Male Star Award category, Hwang Young-woong is leading with 201,863 votes, followed closely by Kim Yong-bin with 154,840 votes. Song Min-jun is in third place with 20,716 votes.
