Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon's 'The Puppet' Hits 5.2% Viewership

ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Scarecrow' Episode 4 recorded its own highest viewership rating of 5.2%, securing the number one spot among Monday-Tuesday dramas for four consecutive weeks. The rating was 5.5% based on the Seoul metropolitan area, with the highest minute-by-minute rating soaring to 6.2%. The 2049 target audience rating also ranked first across all channels, with a peak of 2.1% per minute.

In the broadcast of the fourth episode, faced with the death of Kim Min-ji (played by Kim Hwan-hee), the sixth victim of the Kang Sung serial murders, former detective Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo), who had resigned, proposed cooperation to prosecutor Cha Si-young (played by Lee Hee-joon) for the first time, saying, "Let's catch him." Cha Si-young helped Kang Tae-joo get reinstated through his brother, Cha Jun-young (played by Heo Jung-do).

Resuming the investigation, Kang Tae-joo focused on the handkerchief that covered the perpetrator's face in a photo taken by reporter Seo Ji-won. Recalling the scarecrow drawing in Kim Min-ji's art supplies, Kang Tae-joo headed to Kang Sung Bookstore, which Kim Min-ji had visited. Lee Ki-hwan (played by Jung Moon-sung) reported that Kim Min-ji left the bookstore with Lee Ki-beom (played by Song Geon-hee), who followed her with an umbrella.

Meanwhile, Lee Ki-beom was wanted for the assault of Jeon Kyung-ho (played by Kang Jung-woo). Jeon Kyung-ho, who had been stalking them out of resentment towards Kang Soon-young (played by Seo Ji-hye) and Cha Si-young being together, was assaulted by Lee Ki-beom and fell into a coma. Kang Soon-young was hiding Lee Ki-beom and planning his escape. Seo Ji-won began to suspect Lee Ki-beom, recalling that the perpetrator's handkerchief was the same as Kang Soon-young's.

At the end of the broadcast, Cha Si-young, who was chasing Kang Soon-young, confronted the perpetrator in the bushes. Kang Tae-joo, arriving late, found Cha Si-young emerging from the bushes, holding Kang Soon-young and bleeding. Along with this, the past stories of Kang Tae-joo and Cha Si-young were revealed. Cha Si-young had misunderstood Kang Tae-joo after witnessing her father's affair with Kang Tae-joo's mother, and Kang Tae-joo felt betrayed upon learning that Cha Si-young was the one who exposed his family matters to Jeon Kyung-ho.
