K-drama Actor Jung Woo Reveals Extreme Stalker Harassment

Actor Jung Woo confessed to the severe stalking he experienced after appearing in the drama 'Reply 1994'. This was revealed in a video released on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanhyeong Shin Dong-yeop'.

In the video, when Shin Dong-yeop mentioned Jung Woo's explosive popularity during 'Reply 1994' and asked about his recent activities, Jung Woo began by saying, "Suddenly becoming famous led to many sasaeng fans." He shared shocking anecdotes, stating, "​There were people who sent my hair in an envelope, and others who sent blood letters."

The damage from the sasaeng fans worsened. Jung Woo revealed, "They came to my alley and took pictures with cameras, and even rummaged through my trash." He confessed his feelings at the time, saying, "​I couldn't handle it. So I hid for a while. I was so scared and cautious."

These experiences led Jung Woo to contemplate a hiatus from his acting career. He explained his decision at the time, saying, "I felt I received too much for what I did," and "​I thought, 'Don't get complacent, and even if my steps are slow, let's return to the film industry where I started and begin anew.'" He added that no matter which path he takes, there are regrets, but he has come this far by moving forward little by little.

Recently, Jung Woo has shown a changed attitude, sharing a much lighter recent update. He said, "​In the past, I was sensitive because I was so immersed in my roles, but now I try to enjoy the process itself."
