Yumi's Cells 3: Shin Soon-rok Appears

The drama 'Yumi's Cells' is returning for Season 3. This season will depict the story that unfolds as an unexpected character, Sun-rok (played by Kim Jae-won), appears in the daily life of Yumi, who has become a successful writer. Kim Jae-won will play Sun-rok, a PD in the editorial department of a publishing house who is in charge of the writer Yumi.

At the production presentation held on the 7th, Director Lee Sang-yeop cited 'hate-love romance' as the keyword for this season, raising expectations for the relationship Yumi, a successful writer, will have with Sun-rok. Kim Go-eun expressed confidence in her chemistry with newcomer Kim Jae-won, stating, "It was perfect."

Kim Jae-won expressed his honor in taking on the role of Sun-rok, who was well-loved in the original work, and declared his determination, "I will take good care of Yumi this season." Director Lee Sang-yeop revealed that Kim Jae-won was cast because his tall visuals and hardworking demeanor resembled Sun-rok.

Kim Go-eun expressed her special affection for 'Yumi's Cells,' stating that it was a work that opened the second chapter of her acting career. 'Yumi's Cells' Season 3 will be released every Monday at 6 PM, with two episodes per week, starting on the 13th. Additionally, a musical adaptation of the same name will open in June, with Tiffany Young and Kim Ye-won starring as Yumi.

Director Lee Sang-yeop introduced Season 3 as a story about Yumi's life after achieving success as a writer, her romance with an unexpected person, and her life thereafter. In this season, the main narrative will focus on the process of Yumi's emotions reawakening as a new character, Shin Sun-rok, appears in her daily life, which had become dry and devoid of romantic feelings.
