Hwasa Opens Up About Difficult Creative Slump

Singer Hwasa recently discussed the process of creating her new song "So Cute" and her own creative slump on the YouTube channel 'Jay Park TV'. Regarding the collaboration that began through her connection with Jay Park, Hwasa said, "When we work, don't we all hit a slump? At those times, I realize, 'Ah, this is a period where I need to hone my skills again'," sharing her experience of forcing herself to read books to overcome her creative block.

Hwasa revealed that the phrase "Cuteness conquers all" she found in a book gave her energy, and explained that based on that experience, she poured her desire to think and see things cutely into her new song "So Cute."

Additionally, Hwasa appeared on KBS 2TV's 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Ear Boyfriend' broadcast on the 10th, where she shared her honest impressions of Sung Si-kyung's changed appearance. Hwasa expressed her surprise, saying she "​immediately captured it because he looked so different" after seeing Sung Si-kyung's recent photoshoot.

Hwasa described Sung Si-kyung's transformation as a "shock in a good way," explaining that it was because she saw him looking slim after successfully losing 10kg, a stark contrast to her previous perception of him always having a bit of weight on him. Sung Si-kyung managed to lose weight in about two months, and Hwasa marveled at his changed appearance, emphasizing its authenticity by saying, "​This isn't a scam. He really looks the same."

On the broadcast, Hwasa shared her genuine feelings during the creation of her hit song "Good Goodbye," stating, "I wanted to naturally express my feelings," and expressed her joy about performing the classic version of the song on 'The Seasons' for the first time, saying, "​I was so happy while singing it."
