Ok Joo Hyun Buys 19 Billion Hannam The Hill

Singer and musical actress Ok Joo-hyun has purchased an apartment at Hannam The Hill in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for 19 billion won. It has been confirmed that a mortgage with a maximum debt amount of 12.3 billion won was established during this transaction.

The unit purchased by Ok Joo-hyun is a duplex on the first and second floors with a private area of approximately 332㎡, and she bought it from Huh Hee-soo, president of SPC Group. After signing the contract in May of last year, she recently paid the balance to finalize the deal. Huh purchased the unit in September 2015 for 6.9 billion won and realized a market price profit of 12.1 billion won in about 10 years. The 19 billion won paid by Ok Joo-hyun is the highest transaction price ever recorded for Hannam The Hill.

Celebrities residing in Hannam The Hill include BTS member Jin, actor So Ji-sub, the couple Choo Ja-hyun and Yu Xiaoguang, singer Lee Seung-chul, broadcaster Lee Young-ja, and professional gamer Doinb. In November of last year, actress Kim Tae-hee sold her unit for 12.7 billion won after holding it for seven years, making a profit of 8.5 billion won.

The key to the complex's location is its "Baesan-imsu" (mountain behind, water in front) positioning. Namsan Mountain is to the north, Maebongsan Mountain is to the east, and the Han River flows in front to the south, with UN Village nestled alongside. A real estate industry official explained, "It's a typical Baesan-imsu location, with Namsan behind and the Han River in front, a rare spot that connects both downtown Seoul and Gangnam within 20 minutes."

The floor area ratio is about 120%, which is on the lower side for Seoul's high-end residential areas. The entire complex is designed as a high-ground, gated community, making external access structurally difficult. Dedicated security and visitor vehicle control systems operate 24 hours a day.
