In a post on his YouTube channel community, KwakTube began by saying, "I am heavy-hearted due to the concern caused by the recent controversy surrounding my use of a postpartum care center." He explained that he received an upgrade to his room and some services as sponsorship from the care center after his spouse's childbirth, but he belatedly realized that the detailed scope of the sponsorship mentioned on social media could cause misunderstanding and subsequently revised the content.
KwakTube further stated that since his spouse is a public official, he sought legal advice after the controversy arose and confirmed that the sponsorship was a private contract between himself and the care center, with no connection to his spouse's duties. However, he added, "Regardless of the reason, I deeply regret that I should have acted more cautiously as the family member of a public official," and pledged to diligently provide explanations if any procedural steps are required in the future.

Reflecting on his lack of consideration, KwakTube announced, "I intend to donate 30 million won to support single mothers, a cause I have long held in my heart." He also mentioned that the full difference for the sponsored services has already been paid to the postpartum care center. Finally, he concluded by saying, "From now on, I will become a person who deeply considers and practices not only legal standards but also social responsibility," and apologized once again to everyone who felt discomfort.

This controversy began when KwakTube posted a photo with his child at a postpartum care center on his social media on the 1st, including the word 'sponsorship,' which he later deleted. As his wife is known to be a current public official, the controversy arose because there is a potential violation of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act if a public official receives gifts or benefits exceeding a certain amount. The postpartum care center in question is known to charge approximately 6.9 million won for the Royal suite, 10.5 million won for the Sweet suite, and 25 million won for the Presidential Suite for a two-week stay.
